St. Kitts Investment Promotion Agency

The St. Kitts Investment Promotion Agency (SKIPA) is a statutory corporation that was established in December 2007. SKIPA emerged out of the need to help investors get their projects established in St. Kitts as swiftly and as easily as possible. The Agency acts as a one-stop shop, where investors make inquiries about how to get their business started. SKIPA navigates the bureaucratic waters for the investors; be it obtaining work permits, incentive packages or tax holidays.

In the past, investors would have had to take a number of steps to establish a business entity in St. Kitts. With the establishment of SKIPA, these steps are no longer undertaken by the applicant, but instead by the agency. SKIPA has adopted a customer service oriented approach to dealing with investors.

SKIPA's core values include projecting a positive image of St. Kitts in the investment market, working with world-class professionals to facilitate the establishment and expansion of investment projects, advocating and making policy recommendations for the continued development and enhancement of the investment and business climate in St. Kitts.

SKIPA's objective is to stimulate growth in the economy by pointing investors to the many investment opportunities in St. Kitts. The Agency has been mandated to play a critical role in the Government's diversification plan and as such actively promotes investment in tourism, information technology, financial services, and agriculture.

SKIPA aims to be the premier investment promotion agency in the Caribbean, while contributing to the socio-economic development of St. Kitts and the empowerment of its people in a diversified, transparent and investor-friendly environment.
