Shawna Lake is Chief Executive Officer of the St. Kitts Investment Promotion Agency (SKIPA) with a specific brief to promote financial services. Lake is helping put St Kitt's & Nevis clearly on the map as a modern financial centre.
She has been very active in the development of the Financial Services sector of St. Kitts and she is also a member of the country's local Financial Services Task Force which is the body responsible for ensuring that the regulatory environment for anti-money laundering and counter financing of terrorism meets international standards. She is the representative of St. Kitts in the OECD Sub-Group on Level Playing Field and was responsible for recently developing new legislation in St. Kitts which provides the framework for mutual cooperation in tax matters pursuant to the OECD standard.
