407 Paul Krugman
Columnist and Economist - New York Times

Paul Krugman is a Noble Prize winning economist. He was given the Noble prize for his contributions on New Trade Theory and New Economic Geography. He has been a columnist at The New York Times since 1999 on the Op-Ed Page. He continues as professor of Economics and International Affairs at Princeton University.

He is a keen promoter of Keynesian economics in his online op-ed blog which has developed a large international following. He has also been subject to a number of criticisms, accusing him of being unscientific in his economic analyses. For instance, Robert Barro, the Harvard economist, said that Krugman 'just says whatever is convenient for his political argument. He doesn't behave like an economist.'
