Having worked at both the futures/options CFTC and at the SEC, as well as latterly heading up the SIFMA industry body, Mary Schapiro so far has emerged with positive ratings regarding her stewardship of the SEC, which has also involved considerable territorial patch jostling with fellow top regulators in the re-shaping of the USA's financial regulatory architecture to meet the demands of Congress and the White House.
