Mark Field is a member of the UK's Conservative party and is a Member of Parliament representing the Cities of London and Westminster in the House of Commons.
He is currently Chairman of the All-Party Groups on Business Services and Venture Capital and Private Equity. He has served on the Standing Committees of several important pieces of legislation, including the Business Rates Supplements Act and the Finance Acts in 2008 and 2009. In July 2010 he gave a noteworthy speech which highlighted the importance of small international financial centres to the UK's economy.
