Chairman of the Commission - Securities Commission New Zealand

Jane Diplock is Chairman of the Securities Commission of New Zealand. She has been in the position since September 3, 2001. Diplock was reappointed as Chairman in 2006 for another five-year term until September 3, 2011.

During her chairmanship the Securities Commission has been given additional responsibilities and powers, notably in enforcement of securities law and oversight of securities markets. The Commission has raised its profile in education regarding securities and international securities regulation.

Diplock is also chairman of IOSCO the international regulators body. In this role Diplock has considerable influence throughout the world's financial centres.
