Boudewijn Verhelst is chairman of the Egmont Group, the global network of financial intelligence and police units that works in conjunction with the FATF. He has been appointed for the year 2010-2011. He is Advocate General at the Court of Appeal of Gent and has been seconded since 1 July 1993 as Deputy Director to the Belgian Financial Intelligence Processing Unit (CTIF-CFI).
