105 Bob Herz
Chairman - Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB)

Standing up for the independence of American accounting standards

Robert H. Herz, chairman of the United States' Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB), occupies a key role in the ongoing re-shaping of financial regulation. He has argued for the continued maintenance of a clear demarcation of financial accounting standards by independent auditors from financial institutions regulators. The position of the FASB was set out by Herz in a seminal paper delivered at the AICPA National Conference on Current SEC and PCAOB Developments in December 2009. To read the paper click here.
