The Toronto Financial Services Alliance (TFSA), is a unique public / private initiative created by the City of Toronto in partnership with the financial services industry and its trade associations, affiliate business services, all orders of government and academic institutions. Its mandate is to enhance and promote the competitiveness of Toronto as a premier international financial services centre. In the latest GFCI publication, Toronto ranked 11th- rising 4 places despite a turbulent environment. Our goal is to be the #2 financial centre in North America , and among the top of the top 10 internationally. More than 230,000 people work directly in Toronto region's financial sector making it the fourth largest financial services centre after New York, Chicago and L.A based on employment. However, based on measures of concentration, the Toronto region represents the largest locus for financial services talent in North America.
