Jean-Francois Despoux

Managing Director, Head of Securitisation Europe, Societe Generale
European Securitisation Forum
Jean-Francois has been in charge of SG's European ABS Team since the beginning of 2001. After 6 years at Credit Commercial de France in Paris, Jean-Francois joined SG's securitisation team in Paris where he was responsible for covering European Financial Institutions. He then moved to Asia to set-up SG's securitisation teams in Hong-Kong and Tokyo (SG was awarded the title of "Securitisation House of the Year 2000" by IFR Asia). Jean-Francois has structured deals backed by various asset classes (auto loans, credit cards, trade receivables, leases, mortgages) and using differing structures including multi-seller vehicles, Master Trusts and FCCs. He graduated in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics and holds an MBA from Ecole Superieure de Commerce de Paris. He was elected vice chairman of the European Securitisation Forum in 2003.
