Prof. Peter Gomez is the Chairman of the Board of SIX Swiss Exchange Group and the Dean of the Executive School of Management, Technology and Law at the University of St. Gallen. He was a member of the Executive Committees of Ringier and the Distral Group, as well as a founding partner of Valcor AG.
In January 2008, the three Swiss financial market infrastructure providers SWX Group, SIS Group and Telekurs Group merged to become Swiss Financial Market Services AG. In August 2008, the new company was rebranded SIX Group. Gomez became chairman of the SIX Group moving from his position of chairman of the SGX Group. Prior to the merger, Gomez had been a leading proponent for more efficient streamlined structures for Switzerland.
