Georgios Charalambous is the chairman of the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission, a position he assumed in 2006. Charalambous serves as the Cyprus SEC's representative on the Committee of European Securities Regulators.
Before joining the Cyprus SEC, Charalambous served as vice chairman of the board of directors of the Cyprus Development Bank. He also spent many years with the Central Bank of Cyprus where he began his career as an economist and ultimately achieved the position of senior general manager.
