Duncan Niederauer is the head of NYSE Euronext (NYX). Its family of exchanges, located in six countries, include the New York Stock Exchange, the world's largest cash equities market; Euronext, the Eurozone's largest cash equities market; Liffe, Europe's leading derivatives exchange by value of trading; and NYSE Arca Options, the U.S. options trading platform.
Prior to assuming his current post, Duncan Niederauer was the head of U.S. cash equities for NYSE Euronext.
Before he joined the exchange in April 2007, he was Managing Director and Co-Head of the Equities Division Execution Services for Goldman Sachs.
His career at GS spanned 22 years and included positions overseeing Japanese products, the Equities Division E-Commerce efforts and Spear, Leeds & Kellogg where he managed the firms’ global clearing and execution business.
Mr. Niederauer's memberships include the G100, The Economic Club of New York, the British-American Business Council International Advisory Committee, the Partnership for New York City, and the Shanghai International Financial Advisory Committee.
