Former Deputy Governor - The Bank of England

Sir Andrew Large was Deputy Governor of the Bank of England, and a member of its Monetary Policy Committee from September 2002 to January 2006. Sir Andrew acts on an advisory capacity to the Irish Government with regard to the establishment of a new financial regulatory system. He is also a Director of Axis Capital Holdings Ltd and chair of its Risk Committee.

He was Deputy Chairman of the Board of Barclays Bank plc from May 1998 when he also chaired the Group of 30 Project on Clearing and Settlement. From 1992 to 1997, he chaired the Securities and Investments Board in the United Kingdom.
